Teresa is the first chair of the Mid-Michigan chapter and was integral in its establishment. She has worked in the field of public safety and security for over 23 years including academia, healthcare and emergency management. She is currently employed with the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security where she manages the infrastructure protection and security risk assessments program.
Her education includes a Master of Science degree in Administration of Justice and Security from University of Phoenix, a Bachelors degree in criminal justice and healthcare management from Siena Heights University, and Associates degree in Law Enforcement from Jackson College. She is also a certified protection professional (CPP), a certified crime prevention specialist (CCPS) and a certified security assessment specialist (CSAS).
Teresa serves on the North American Regional Board of Directors. She is also a Mentor, the chapter liaison for Women in Security, ASIS Foundation and is the Communications Chair and Webmaster.
Kevin Deitz has been in the security profession for over 20 years and is currently a Senior Infrastructure Protection Specialist at the University of Michigan. He has been a member of ASIS International since 2005 and has earned the “Triple Crown”, obtaining the CPP, PSP and PCI certifications.
Kevin is also certified as a Campus Crime Prevention Specialist (CCPS) and Certified Security Assessment Specialist (CSAS) through the American Crime Prevention Institute.
He recently earned the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) professional designation through the National Institute of Crime Prevention (NCIP).
Prior to entering the security field, Kevin taught 8th grade Earth and Space Science and 7th grade Life Science in a Pennsylvania middle school. Simultaneously, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve Transportation Corps, holding the assignments of platoon leader, cargo control manager, and battalion staff officer before transitioning to inactive status as a Captain.
Jamie is the treasurer of the chapter and manages all essential chapter financial requirements. He has been in the private security profession for over 30 years during which he worked in healthcare safety and security, emergency management, security program development, technical security design and implementation. His education includes a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and holds a CPP certification. He is currently employed as the Security Manager at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams at Michigan State University.
Olivia is the secretary of the chapter and handles all official documents and meeting minutes. She is a Physical Security Program Director for MSU Federal Credit Union. She is a Michigan State University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology, and Security Management Specialization. She completed her Master’s in Business Continuity, Security, and Risk Management through Boston University. Prior to her time at MSU Federal Credit Union, she worked as an analyst completing investigations for the Legislative Corrections Ombudsman’s office. She also has over a decade of experience with Michigan Youth Leadership, previously serving as a volunteer and board member.
Derek Loomis has been employed as a Security Manager and Security Consultant for over 15 years. Derek achieved the status of Triple Crown after obtaining three ASIS credentials, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) in 2017, Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) in 2019, and Physical Security Professional (PSP) in 2019, and has been an active member of ASIS since 2015. He has been employed with Teachout Security Solutions since 2011 and currently serves as a Branch Manager and Security Consultant overseeing operations in Southwest Michigan. Derek is also a Certified American Red Cross Instructor and Instructor Trainer.
Daniel A. Alabre has been involved in the security field for over 33 years. He served twenty-eight years on active duty with the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel. He worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency and served in several leading roles, including the principle advisor to the US Ambassador.
Daniel is currently a Director at Pinkerton and responsible for all Michigan and Ohio based clients and their local, national, and global security interests. He is also a member of the Midwest Regional Security Management Team responsible for managing operations that take place locally, nationally, and internationally. He is recognized as an expert in security and intelligence matters facing the private sector.
Scott M. Majchszak, CPP has been involved in the safety and security industry for more than ten years. Working in the education, manufacturing, and retail sectors, he has amassed a talent for invigorating workplace culture through his philosophy of “3E” – Education, Empowerment, and Engagement. His current role is an Environment, Health, Safety, and Security Leader where he provides subject-matter expertise in worker’s compensation, root cause analysis, and driving culture.
Jordan Lampton has been in the industry for three years working in corporate security. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, and is currently working towards her Master’s in Enterprise Risk Management through Boston University. In addition, she is APP certified. Jordan is currently employed as a Physical Security Specialist at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union.
Jonathan Frost is a Senior Security Consultant at Marsh Advisory, Consulting Solutions, Property Risk Consulting Practice (PRC) based in Detroit. Jonathan has an extensive security background that started during his time in the Marines, where he was assigned to the Presidential Retreat at Camp David. His experience includes working as a police officer, trainer, and most recently the Physical Security Coordinator for the Lansing Board of Water and Light. He holds a Bachelor degree in Integrated Leadership studies and an Associate degree in criminal justice. He holds several certifications, Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Physical Security Professional (CPSP), Certified CPTED Specialist (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) , American Crime Prevention Institute, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Trainer, Texas A&M University .
Ryan Cressman, CPP, has worked in law enforcement for 28 years, retiring from the Lansing Police Department. He continues to serve the Lansing community as the security and safety manager for the Lansing Board of Water and Light. He coordinates and provides training for all physical security procedures, including access control and surveillance systems, and is certified in Active Shooter and Workplace Violence Prevention, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Principles of Leadership, and several measures of Emergency Vehicle Operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement management.
Evan Thomas graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Security Management. He has been with Circadian Risk for almost two and a half years, where he is the Client Success Coordinator/Security Analyst II. Prior to working at Circadian Risk, he interned at the Detroit Police Department and Michigan State University Federal Credit Union where he took part in risk analysis, investigations, security related projects, and more.
In his free time, Evan enjoys making and eating all different types of food dishes, gaming, working out, and participating in all types of sports, especially racquetball. He is a Michigan native, and looks forward to traveling and seeing more of the world.
David P. Garey is a retired full spectrum senior Intelligence Specialist (Operations); Supervisory Special Agent Counterintelligence (CI) and Supervisory Special Agent, Criminal Investigations (CID Command), with 44 years of U.S. Government service. He is an Insider Threat Program Management and Mitigation Expert and a Specialist in site exploitation and collection, recovery, retention, accountability, and disposition of forensic evidence. He is a former Adjunct Lecturer for Central Texas College - Europe, for their Associate of Applied Science - Law Enforcement Program. He was a lecturer for homicide investigations, criminal intelligence, fraud detection, investigations, interview and interrogations, and law enforcement operations. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations and is a certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Jordan Lampton has been in the industry for three years working in corporate security. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, and is currently working towards her Master’s in Enterprise Risk Management through Boston University. In addition, she is APP certified. Jordan is currently employed as a Physical Security Specialist at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union.

Teresa Swarczinski has worked in the field of public safety and security for over 20 years. Her work experience includes academia, healthcare and emergency management. She is currently employed with the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security where she manages the infrastructure protection and security risk assessments program. She holds a Master degree in Administration of Justice and Security and is also a certified protection professional (CPP), a certified crime prevention specialist (CCPS) and a certified security assessment specialist (CSAS). Teresa is also the chapter liaison for the ASIS Foundation and manages the chapter website.
Chip Krieger served as the first treasurer for the new Mid-Michigan chapter in 2019. He also was the previous treasurer for the Lansing chapter and was instrumental in establishing all the essential financial requirements for the new chapter. Chip brought extensive experience working in private security while giving back to the industry through youth mentoring . He is employed with Securitas Security as a Branch Manager and holds a bachelor degree in criminal justice from MSU and certified as a CPP.
Lisa Haun served as the first Vice Chair of the chapter from 2018-2021 and was instrumental in the chapters success. She has been in the security profession for over eight years and is dedicated to the security industry and the needs of the chapter. She is currently employed with Emergent BioSolutions as a Senior Specialist.
Troy Elliott served as the Liaison Chair for the Mid-Michigan chapter after serving in various leadership positions, including Chairperson of the West Michigan chapter. Troy designed the liaison member roles and responsibilities while mentoring key elements of the program. Troy worked in the corporate security field for over 28 years where he specialized in Physical Security, Safety, Executive Protection, and Crisis Management. Troy is currently employed with BCBSM of Detroit as the Director of Enterprise Security. He was formerly with the AF Group as the Manager of Enterprise Facilities, Corporate Security and Safety. Troy has a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, a Masters of Business Administration degree with a Project Management concentration, a Lean Six Sigma green belt, Certified Authority on Workers’ Compensation (CAWC), and a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certifications.
Kevin Deitz was the secretary of the chapter from 2018 to 2021 and was key in organizing critical chapter information for our members and the board. He has been in the security profession for over 20 years. He is currently employed with the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security as a Senior Infrastructure Protection Specialist. Kevin holds a bachelor degree and is certified through ASIS as a "Triple Crown" holder earning his CPP , PSP and PCI. He is also the member engagement chair for the chapter.
Region 2E includes West Michigan, Southwest Michigan, Mid-Michigan, Flint, Saginaw Valley and Detroit chapters.
Larry is the current SRVP of Region 2E for ASIS International.
Allen served in the United States Army for 20 years retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1999. His final assignment was as Director of the US Army Transportation School Marine Engineering Division Fort Eustis, VA. His military career included assignments with the 525 MI Group 18th Airborne Corps Fort Bragg, NC; 1st Signal Brigade S. Korea; 7th Trans Group Fort Eustis, VA and 189th Infantry Brigade Fort Bragg, NC. He deployed for Desert Shield/Desert Storm in both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in a combat zone. He served as Department of Defense Liaison to FEMA during 2 declared natural disasters. After the military Allen began a career in the private security industry. He is the Quality Control Manager for Michigan-based Teachout Security Solutions. Allen has been a member of ASIS International for 15 years and has served in various chapter positions to include Chapter Chair. He currently also serves as the Assistant Vice President for ASIS Region 2E. Originally from North Carolina, Allen now lives in Mattawan, MI with his wife and two daughters.
Andriana is the Security Manager at the Van Andel Institute. She has worked in Security Management and Law Enforcement for over 13 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Minor in Sociology from Grand Valley State University. She attended GVSU’s police academy and is MCOLES certified. Andriana has been a volunteer leader for ASIS since 2012, previously serving as Regional Vice President for Region 2E and in a local leadership capacity serving as the Secretary, Vice Chair, and Chapter Chair for the Western Michigan Chapter. Andriana earned her Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification in 2021. She presented at a poster session during ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in Chicago, IL in 2013 and was also voted as Security Practitioner of the Year in 2014 for Western MI ASIS Chapter. She enjoys snowboarding, traveling, camping, snorkeling, shooting trap and sporting clays and playing with her two dogs.
Troy has worked in the corporate security field for over 28 years where he specialized in Physical Security, Safety, Executive Protection, and Crisis Management. He is currently employed with BCBSM of Detroit as the Director of Enterprise Security. He was formerly with the AF Group as the Manager of Enterprise Facilities, Corporate Security and Safety. Troy previously served as the Liaison Chair for the Mid-Michigan chapter after serving as the Chairperson of the West Michigan chapter. He has a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, a Masters of Business Administration degree with a Project Management concentration, a Lean Six Sigma green belt, is a Certified Authority on Workers’ Compensation (CAWC), and a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certifications.
